Change to the SBB Extended Management Board.

Stefan Nünlist, since 2001 Head of Corporate Communications and Public Affairs for Swisscom AG, is to become the new Head of Communication at SBB. He will succeed Werner Nuber, the current Head of SBB Communication, who is transferring to SBB Consulting after working successfully in this position for almost 10 years – a step taken by most members of SBB senior management on reaching age 59. The timetable for this change will be finalised in the coming weeks.

Stefan Nünlist. Stefan Nünlist, Head of Corporate Communications and Public Affairs for Swisscom AG since 2001, is to become the new Head of Communication at SBB. The 47-year-old from Solothurn, who obtained his law degree from the University of Fribourg, is a qualified solicitor and notary. After completing training as a diplomat with the Swiss Federal Department of Foreign Affairs and working as a personal assistant to the Heads of the Swiss Federal Department of Economic Affairs, Federal Councillors Delamuraz and Couchepin, Mr Nünlist was appointed Head of Communication for the electricity company Aare Tessin. Since 2001 he has been responsible for corporate communications at Swisscom as Chief Communications Officer, member

of Group Management and the Management Board of Swisscom Schweiz AG. The timing of his transfer to SBB will be finalised in the coming weeks.

Once Mr Nünlist has begun in his new position, Werner Nuber, who has been Head of Communication and a member of the SBB Extended Management Board since August 2000, will transfer to SBB Consulting, a common step for members of senior management upon reaching their 59th birthday. In this in-house service, Mr Nuber will take on consultancy, coaching and project management mandates for SBB management and external third parties.
