Press release, 03.02.2015
Train and entry tickets for the Expo Milano 2015 World Exposition are now available to buy online and at SBB counters. The Expo is due to open its doors at the Rho Fiera exhibition centre near Milan in just about three months’ time. People who book early can benefit from supersaver tickets, available in limited numbers, and enjoy cheaper travel. Entry tickets for Expo Milano are also available at a reduced rate until April 2015.
Advance ticket sales have now began for the Expo Milano 2015 World Exposition, which will take place from May to October 2015. Train and entry tickets are now available to buy online and at SBB counters, and the rail tickets can be bought up to four months in advance. SBB is offering a limited number of discounts on all routes, so the earlier you book, the better chance you will have of saving money on your ticket. The World Exposition will not be this close again for a long time: thanks to SBB’s direct trains to the exhibition centre station, you won’t need to change at Milano Centrale and you can also visit the Expo as a day trip. From May 2015, there will be four special event trains per day and as many as five from August with around 2,000 additional seats. PostBus in Grisons is also offering a daily special price for travel from Chur to Bellinzona with direct EuroCity connections to the Expo.
Booking early pays off.
As an “authorised reseller”, SBB is also selling entry tickets for the Expo, which are available at a reduced rate until the event opens in May. The Expo crowds tend to be smaller at the start of the event than towards the end, so it is worth making your travel plans early.Around 24 million visitors are expected. The central theme of the Expo is “Nutrire il Pianeta, Energia per la Vita” (“Feeding the Planet, Energy for Life”).
