New air conditioning and ventilation system.
State-of-the-art fresh-air ventilation in the ceiling and heating in the floors and side walls ensure passengers can travel in pleasant conditions.
The entrance vestibules are generously proportioned and the standing areas are equipped with padding to lean against and straps to hold onto. There is also more storage space for bicycles, pushchairs and luggage. The new Regio-Dosto trains are 150 metres long and have two toilets, one of which is wheelchair-accessible.
With their well-lit, open design, the Regio-Dosto trains contribute to passenger security. The trains also have video surveillance throughout, as well as emergency intercom systems in the entrance areas connected directly to the transport police.
Screens inform passengers of the train's current journey times. These monitors are visible from all parts of the train.
The 1st class and multifunction compartments are located symmetrically, enabling all passengers to find their seats quickly and easily. Whichever way the train is travelling, these two compartments are always in the same relative position.
