A modern fleet for the regional lines in and around Geneva. The SBB fleet operating in the Geneva region has been gradually modernised since 2010.
Flirt France multiple units.
Flirt is a German acronym, which stands for Flinker Leichter Innovativer Regional Triebzug. In English, it signifies a multiple unit for regional services that is fast, lightweight and innovative. Flirt France means that these multiple units can operate on both sides of the border because they can adapt to handle the different electric currents used on the Swiss and French networks.
Consisting of four vehicles, these multiple units offer easier access for people with reduced mobility as well as more space and they are equipped with air-conditioning, surveillance cameras and a high-end customer information system.
24 first class seats
132 second class seats
49 folding seats
141 standing room, with handrails
23 Flirt France multiple units have been ordered for the future Franco-Valdo-Genevois RER in Switzerland. Just under 20 extra multiple units will be needed to cover the entire network, which will be fully operational from the opening of the new CEVA (Cornavin-Eaux-Vives-Annemasse) line in December 2019.
Domino multiple units.
Consisting of three vehicles, these multiple units operate on the Coppet–Geneva–Lancy-Pont-Rouge line. They were completely modernised in 2010 and new coaches were added. These multiple units offer our customers the same advantages as the Flirt France composition: easier access for people with reduced mobility, more space, air-conditioning, surveillance cameras and a state-of-the-art information system.
