The Gotthard Panorama Express connects two of the most beautiful regions in Switzerland. Take the boat across Lake Lucerne from Lucerne to Flüelen. In 1st class on the panorama train, guests can learn fascinating facts about the historic Gotthard route from personal tour guides while travelling to Ticino in comfort.

  • Route: travel by train from Lugano/Bellinzona to Flüelen or Arth-Goldau, connecting to the Rigi railways. Travel by steam-boat or motorboat from Flüelen to Lucerne.  The journey can also be made in the other direction. 
  • Duration of journey: approx. 5.5 hours
  • Classes: 1st class on the train, 1st or 2nd class on the boat
  • Reservation: mandatory
  • Catering: delicious meals, as well as simple snacks and beverages, are available on board the boat.

Bernina Express.

The Bernina Express is a panoramic journey that connects Northern and Southern Europe through the heart of the Rhaetian Railway UNESCO World Heritage Site. A highlight of the trip is Alp Grüm, where you can find the only restaurant which has its own railway connection. In summer, the journey continues on the Bernina Express bus from Tirano to Lugano.

GoldenPass Linie.

Passengers on the GoldenPass line travel in three different trains from Lucerne to Montreux, passing three passes, eight lakes and Switzerland’s famous four-thousand-metre peaks. The GoldenPass Belle Epoque offers pure railway romance on the Zweisimmen–Montreux route.

Starting in eastern Switzerland’s city of St. Gallen, the Voralpen Express rolls over the 99-metre-high Sitter Viaduct and through the hills of Toggenburg. Passing Rapperswil and the magnificent high moorland of Rothenthurm, you then reach Lucerne.
