To offer its customers a safe, punctual and reliable service, SBB sets extremely high standards in terms of the quality of the goods and services it purchases. SBB’s Purchasing team makes sure that its pro-curement activities meet these standards, make commercial sense and comply with public procurement regulations (PPA/PPO). It thus plays a key role in ensuring the availability of materials and the provision of rail services.

In its procurement activities, SBB relies on close cooperation with numerous suppliers, which is also managed by Purchasing and which focuses on an exacting yet always fair working relationship in the spirit of partnership.
