Communication and Public Affairs gives SBB its voice, face and image.

Media spokespersons answer questions asked by the media. We keep employees up to date, e.g. via an interactive Intranet site and with the "Unterwegs" magazine. We manage the SBB brand, assume responsibility for the sustainability strategy, maintain dialogue with all relevant stakeholders and coordinate relations with owners, authorities and external partners.

Kathrin Amacker (1962, CH), Head of Communication since 1 May 2013.

Dr. phil. II. Kathrin Amacker was previously Head of Group Communications at Swisscom and a member of the telecommunication company's Management Board. Prior to that she worked at Novartis, where her various roles included Project Manager in technical areas and in Human Resources Management. Furthermore, she was engaged in employee relations and active on a political level, e.g. as a member of the National Council for the CVP.
