Based on past experience, we know that Geneva-Cornavin station is a vital crossing point for three railway systems (Swiss, French and freight traffic), meaning that it has to accommodate a traffic volume of more than 800 trains per day.
The station is currently showing signs of severe congestion. When the Léman Express (Coppet–Geneva–Annemasse) is put into operation at the end of 2019, new international, national or regional services will no longer be able to be implemented.
We therefore need to develop the Geneva railway hub so that you can benefit from these new opportunities and those of the future.
