Safety for Europe's busiest railway network.

As an Outdoor Safety Installations Technician, you will help with the construction, maintenance and servicing of a wide range of safety systems such as points, level crossing systems, signals, and track vacancy detection systems. In addition, you will diagnose faults and independently carry out demanding rough mechanical work in the outside area of the safety installations.

You will work in a motivated team and ensure the availability of the installations, including while on call and during irregular working hours.

As a Safety Installations Technician, you will have completed an EFZ apprenticeship as a Production Mechanic, Fitter, Polymechanic or similar technical/trade qualification. To familiarise yourself with the diverse work and systems, you will complete a specially designed in-house training course over several weeks. This will mean you are fully prepared for your new field of work.

Irregular working times are normal at SBB. SBB operates around the clock, which means you will be on duty on weekdays, weekends and public holidays.

In return, however, you will receive additional remuneration and will benefit from time bonuses - this means you will have more time off in total than employees who do not work nights or weekends.
