Project manager for high-voltage infrastructure – our energy security in your hands.

Together with your project team, you guarantee the supply of energy  for our trains and work on the future of our network infrastructure.

You plan, manage and implement the new-build and expansion of energy infrastructure installations, holding every step of the project process, from preparatory study to implementation, in your hands. You work in close coordination with all internal and external specialists.

What excites me most is seeing how our careful planning becomes reality, and makes a significant contribution to ensuring the reliable provision of rail power.

Shaping the future.

Providing reliable rail power is essential for SBB. As project manager for high-voltage infrastructure, you work continually on establishing new energy installations (including installations for rail power production, distribution and transformation), updating existing systems and expanding our infrastructure. Our aim is to increase efficiency and to ensure cost-effective and reliable energy provision, even as traffic volumes increase. Together with your project team and other partners, you ensure that these vital projects are moved forwards from preliminary study through to implementation and commissioning, making a significant contribution to ensuring the secure provision of rail power.

Tackling varied tasks.

As well as constructing new systems, you also take care of our existing installations. You ensure that all installations function flawlessly and that energy is delivered to the right place at the right time. You work closely with your colleagues in the traction current department, as well as those in other divisions. You work both in the office and are deployed to different sites, which makes your working day very varied.

Being successful together.

As a project manager for high-voltage infrastructure, you are in constant contact with the different specialist units, as well as with other divisions within SBB (e.g. Real Estate, Environment). You also manage the relationships with various authorities and stakeholders. You discuss projects, identify challenges and find solutions. You enjoy working with a range of people, listening carefully, motivating others and planning ahead.
