Procurement is increasingly being handled digitally, which reduces the workload for purchasing and for suppliers.

In the domain of ordering, SBB offers its suppliers an electronic connection via SupplyOn & SAP Commerce Automation (EDI & Web-EDI).

SBB is also digitalising its purchasing with SAP Ariba (SAP Business Network). SAP Ariba makes it possible to process tenders and manage certificates by means of electronic workflows. To collaborate in SAP Ariba, suppliers receive their own profile on the Ariba network.
