The facilities of the Bern Education Centre are located in the freight station building. This unique and inspiring environment is perfect for your educational activities. A richly varied selection of rooms offers effective and interactive learning environments. From traditional seminars to small-scale group work and creative workshops – there is a space to suit every need.

Personalised and authentic.

The dedicated team works hard every day to ensure that you can hold your seminar in a well-organised and pleasant atmosphere. The Bern Education Centre is also available on request for smaller activities like copying, printing and laminating.

Access to the “SBB-FREE” WiFi network is available in all rooms and public spaces. By entering your mobile phone number, you can access the internet free of charge.

Smaller workshops or meetings with up to seven people can be held in the three group rooms with fixed block seating. Room sizes vary between 17 and 30 square metres.

The L room is spacious and ideal for larger events with 30 to 70 people. You can also choose from a variety of seating arrangements, giving you a wide range of options. With 83 square metres, there is plenty of space to achieve your learning goals in no time at all.

The creative innovation room offers the ideal environment for workshops with groups of up to 16 people. Furniture on wheels and the flexibility of the space allow you to customise it to the needs and objectives of your event. The ample 76-square-metre space gives you plenty of room for creative work.

Media technology includes a projector with speakers, four mobile writeable and magnetic walls on wheels, four fixed writeable and magnetic walls, twenty stools, thirteen tables on wheels, two office chairs with integrated tables, an e-flipchart and a presentation station.

Useful information.

The Bern Education Centre is in the freight station close to Bern railway station. The reception is located on the 2nd floor.

Public transport.

The Bern Education Centre can be reached by PostBus line 101 from Bern main station (stop S or Y) or from the “Welle” (Schanzenstrasse stop). Get off at the Güterbahnhof stop, then cross Murtenstrasse and Bahnstrasse in the direction of the freight station.

There are no car parking spaces available.

Cantonal public holidays apply and the Education Centre is also closed on bridge days and between Christmas and New Year.

The bistro on the 1st floor has two vending machines offering snacks and hot and cold drinks. The Weyermannshaus SBB Restaurant is also very close to the Education Centre (about five minutes’ walk away). Reservations for groups can be made via the Bern Education Centre. Further reservations and catering options are available on request.
