Every temporary staffing contract must contain the following elements: 

• address of the company and the authorisation authority
• professional qualifications of the employee and the nature of the work
• place of work and start of the assignment
• duration of employment or notice periods
• applicable working hours for the temporary worker(s)
• temporary recruitment costs, including all social benefits, allowances, expenses and ancillary services
• reference to EmpA or WHA mandatory
• no reference to GTC permitted

The contract template and any signature tool provided by SBB AG must be used (please note: this is no longer necessary with Fieldglass!).

Vested interests are personal contacts (private, family, business) which influence or could influence a person’s behaviour, as well as all paid and unpaid additional occupations and public offices.

This means that the temporary recruitment company is always responsible for knowing about the temporary employee’s vested interests and additional occupations and for informing SBB about them.

The External Service Desk (SEDE) is an interface between temporary recruitment agencies and managers which coordinates external personnel and is therefore the first point of contact for managers. All recruitment policy issues such as procurement, onboarding, leaving and disciplinary matters must be reported to the External Service Desk.

the following points should be selected in advance with the temporary workers:

• Is the candidate interested in the position?
• Does the candidate speak the required language at the level desired? 
• Are the necessary criteria met? 
• Does the candidate know what the job involves?
• Temporary workers arrive punctually at the agreed time at the agreed meeting point and are fully equipped.

It is important for proper medical fitness to be ensured and that the right medical fitness form (the SBB form and not your own) is submitted to the SEDE. It is the responsibility of the temporary recruitment agency to register temporary workers for the medical fitness examination.

Below you will find important information on time and performance recording:

• For advances, the number of hours must be discussed directly with the temporary worker.
• Finance-related adjustments in Fieldglass can only be made on the first day of the month in question.
• The same public holidays (cantonal) apply to temporary workers as to internal employees. These are saved in Fieldglass and are calculated automatically.

The following is important for course registrations:

• Copies of registration confirmations will be sent (to register with TempTraining).
• Certain courses are paid for by SBB, but copies of registration confirmations will still be issued.
• If the course is paid for by SBB, then we also pay for the train ticket. This is entered in accordance with the expenses process. If the course is paid for via TempTraining, then TempTraining must also pay for the train ticket. The temporary recruitment agency must apply to TempTraining for this.

We expect properly completed documents. This includes the following: 

• The CV is up-to-date, free of spelling mistakes, and contains all important personal details (first name, last name, date of birth, e-mail address and nationality).
• Reference information (incl. document signed by the temporary employee) is provided with the application itself.
• Documents providing evidence.
• Medical fitness must be obtained before the first day of work.
• Course registrations are managed centrally and TempTraining is notified promptly. Temporary workers are informed about upcoming courses and supported with eLearning.
