SBB fire brigade – Intervention is a professional emergency organisation with 15 locations throughout Switzerland. Using the latest emergency vehicles, 350 dedicated railway rescue specialists ensure that incidents on or near the railway are dealt with quickly and safely on the scene.

As part of Incident Management, SBB fire brigade – Intervention supports public emergency services and is actively involved in incident prevention. On around 10,000 call-outs per year it plays a key role in restoring normal rail operations as quickly as possible in the event of an emergency, working around the clock to ensure the safety of customers.
