As specialised police for public transport, the transport police perform their duties in all parts of Switzerland, working closely with train crews, other police bodies and private security services.

With over 200 police officers across Switzerland, the SBB transport police work to keep public transport areas such as railway stations or public transport vehicles secure and orderly. Ensuring safety is also of the utmost importance at major events in which SBB is involved, as well as during operational failures. During their daily rounds as well as during interventions, they are in direct contact with our passengers on the trains, as well as with our customers at the stations.
