Depending on the model, you reduce your working hours on a daily, weekly or annual basis. You can manage a 60% workload in a variety of ways. In the ‘Daily’ model, for example, you work around five hours every day instead of regular working hours. In the ‘Weekly’ model, you would work three days instead of five. And in the ‘Annual’ model, you work full-time for a certain period of time, but then compensate for this time on a daily or weekly basis. 

What sounds good in theory doesn’t always turn out to be so in practice. That’s why at SBB, you can reduce your working hours by up to 20% for a period of three months, as long as your hours do not drop below the 50% mark. During this time, you can test whether part-time work suits you. If it turns out that reducing your working hours is not right for you, you can easily switch back to your original hours.
