Requirements.
You have a degree (University/UAS, Bachelor’s/Master’s) in the areas of business administration, computer science or physics/mathematics.

SBB Information Technology provides hands-on training in the domain of cyber security for highly motivated career entrants or candidates changing career path. We turn you into a specialist in protecting SBB from cyber attacks.
During the programme, you learn all there is to know about the world of cyber security and you have the chance to collaborate actively in our various core areas: you develop your skills in a targeted way through working at a Security Operations Center, contributing to application development, developing various awareness campaigns or implementing data protection principles.
All participants start with a basic module that explains the world of cyber security. We plan your development steps together, taking into account your choices of the modules in cyber defence, application security, data protection and security consulting and awareness.

Requirements.
You have successfully completed a university degree in computer science or business informatics or you have undergone comparable training or education. Good knowledge of German (B2) and English (B1) is required for this graduate programme.
SBB Information Technology provides hands-on training in the domain of data science for highly motivated career entrants or candidates changing career path. We turn you into a data specialist. You collect, select and quantitatively analyse large volumes of data and process it according to its significance. Here you use mathematical models and the very latest methods and technologies. You also develop and implement analytical models and algorithms. You know how to present your findings clearly.

SBB Information Technology provides hands-on training for highly motivated SAP career entrants or candidates changing career path. We turn you into a specialist in a core SAP area. Working in an agile team, you develop and plan strategies and solution ideas to design and integrate business processes. In this work, you always use the latest SAP technologies and platforms. You provide advice and support for our stakeholders when developing solutions and implement these solutions in collaboration with the team. You know how to convey your knowledge in a comprehensible and transparent way.
SAP core areas.
For your further development, you can choose from SAP core modules in the areas of technology consulting, system operation, service management, human resources, finance and controlling or logistics (supply chain, production, maintenance). We plan the stages of your development together.

You have successfully completed a university degree in computer science, business informatics or business management. It is an advantage if you already have experience in the use of SAP from a previous role. Signalling is the control of rail traffic with signal boxes, outdoor installations and train control systems (ETCS). You acquire specialist knowledge of rail control technology and safety systems over the course of a year. You manage sub-projects or work in a team on system development, equipment planning, risk analysis or safety verification management. The qualified analyses and concepts you produce help ensure the successful implementation of challenging and highly innovative projects.

You hold a university degree, ideally in electrical or mechanical engineering, physics, IT or maths. Your ability to grasp things quickly and willingness to learn will make you stand out. The Energy programme covers all aspects of the energy supply system for the railways: from dimensioning and planning to construction, maintenance and real-time operations. Energy supply installations include production facilities such as power plants and photovoltaic systems, converter stations for exchanging energy with the 50 Hz grid, the high-voltage network for energy distribution and substations where energy is fed into the catenary system. Activities you could be involved in range from planning and project management to conducting studies and simulations.

You have a university degree, preferably in electrical, mechanical, civil or environmental engineering, physics, computer science or mathematics and have an interest in energy topics. For trains to run, we need rails, electricity and highly available telecoms networks. And telecoms are essential for running punctual, safe and punctual public transport. SBB Telecom provides highly available wireless and wired telecoms and 50 Hz electricity networks to connect people and technical installations, provide innovative and future-oriented products and services which meet real needs and ensure that they are continuously developed.
During the programme, you will discover the diverse world of telecoms at SBB and gather experience in customer, product and service management, architecture and engineering and (further) development of our services and technologies. That means that you are equipped to take on your first challenging role as a specialist/engineer or Servant Leader in the Telecoms section.

You have a university degree in electrical engineering, telecoms engineering, industrial engineering or computer science, plus a flair for business. Alternatively, you have a university degree in business with a technical bent. An ability to get to grip with things quickly, think holistically and analyse particularly well and a high willingness to learn are your strengths. Train maintenance covers all maintenance activities that SBB carries out on passenger railcars, locomotives and coaches: from maintenance planning, internal engineering, component reconditioning and materials management to the actual maintenance and modification of rolling stock at our workshops and servicing facilities. On the Career Starter programme, you take responsibility for tasks and sub-projects at one of our 15 sites and gain an understanding of the challenges of maintenance that is integrated into ongoing rail operations.

The programme begins each September and lasts for between 12 and 18 months, depending on the level of employment. You can decide on your own level of employment between 60% and 100%.
Requirements.
You hold a university degree – from a university, university of applied sciences or professional education institution – ideally in one of the following disciplines: mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, mechatronics, automation or information technology/data science. You grasp new concepts quickly, are highly motivated to learn and willing to sometimes also carry out manual tasks. A team player with a winning mentality, you focus on achieving goals together. Your analytical and conceptual skills help you implement solutions.

Talent Day 3: 3 and 4 June 2024
You have to complete a few tests to prepare for the Talent Day so set aside enough time before that date.
You’ll find out about us and our culture in person at the Talent Day and gain an insight into our wide range of projects. We use the Talent Day as a basis for deciding who we recruit.

IoT power plant application.
When lots of trains depart at the same time throughout Switzerland because of the clock-face schedule, intelligent sensors switch off – unbeknown to customers – the air conditioning or heating for a few minutes at just the right time. This state-of-the-art IoT application saves us a whole power plant of energy.
Mobile app for the visually impaired.
Visually impaired and blind people can listen to customer information displayed optically at stations and aboard trains on their own mobile phones thanks to the SBB Inclusive app. Bluetooth beacons are used to provide this solution.
In the Gotthard Base Tunnel, we use blockchain technology to open doors. This ensures only authorised personnel gain access to specially secured areas.
