The following four use cases are currently standard in projects:
Providing as-built models for project planning.
As-built models are created and made available. The basis for this is recorded or aggregated from inventory systems and third-party data and processed into discipline-specific models.
Providing up-to-date discipline-specific models during planning and construction.
The discipline-specific models are created in the corresponding BIM authoring tools in the ordered quality in accordance with the requirements of the EIR.
Providing a consolidated IT infrastructure for digital collaboration.
The technological environment for digital collaboration and the provision of the CDE is defined in the project/service description document.
Collaborative model-based cooperation.
Collaborative model-based cooperation is planned and defined in the BEP. The discipline-specific models in project planning and implementation are coordinated, issue tracking is carried out using object-related comments (BCF), the planning information is aggregated in a single coordination model (federation), and the merged information is made available to the other project participants in the appropriate phase.
The use cases with partial services and results are described in more detail in the service catalogue. It also defines who is responsible for which service and in which phase the services are provided.
