Lausanne–Renens: flyover.

The best way of improving the flow of traffic between Renens and Lausanne without interrupting other transport routes.

The flyover (railway viaduct) will allow trains to pass over other railway tracks without crossing conflicts with other convoys. It will mainly be used by trains travelling from Bern towards Lausanne and Geneva.

Its construction is one of the conditions for developing national services (long-distance traffic between Lausanne and Geneva) and regional services (RER Vaud).

We have completed advance construction of a protective wall to separate the site from the operating tracks;
We are building the flyover (viaduct measuring 1,175 m long and 9.10 m high) we are managing and carrying out work on the platform and adjacent railway equipment;
We are moving the tracks in successive stages in order to create the space for the construction of the new infrastructure, without disrupting operations.
We are coordinating this work with associated SBB projects; Fourth track between Lausanne and Renens, renewal of interlocking systems, terminus conformity, improved access at Renens station, reconstruction and extension of underpass on Avenue du Léman.
