You will plan and manage construction site execution for cable installation infrastructure and civil engineering projects. You will play a vital role in connecting Switzerland by laying low-voltage, high-voltage and fibre-optic cables.

Monitoring of cable system construction activities.

The SBB cable network is essential. In addition to power supply cable for trains, signal boxes and ticket machines, it also includes cable for transmitting data. As a site supervisor for rail infrastructure implementation and renewal projects, you will be responsible for cable system installations and modifications. You will plan construction work and coordinate all resources, including personnel and construction machinery. During construction work, you will be responsible for ensuring that the project's quality, deadline, cost and safety targets are met.

Implementing projects safely.

Working independently, you will rely on your joined-up thinking and strong organisation and communication skills to successfully implement new cable installations or cable system modifications. Thanks to your sense of responsibility, you always work precisely and prioritise the safety of everyone present.

Your technical vocational qualifications in construction or electrical systems make you a perfect candidate for the job. You will also already have experience as a construction site manager or supervisor. As a result, planning, designing and implementing cable and railway installations come as second nature to you.

Your qualifications and your commitment are key to our success. We therefore train our employees in line with their personal needs and ambitions. We offer internal training courses for site supervisors, for example; first and foremost among these being safety manager training.

SBB operates 24/7. As a cable network site supervisor, you will therefore occasionally also be out and about at night, at weekends and on public holidays in your assigned zones. To compensate for this, you will have time off when others are working. This means you can organise your free time more flexibly and won’t have to go shopping during rush hour, for example.
