The work involves modernising all the components of the interlocking and installing them in a new building, away from the tracks. It also involves equipping it with more modern technology capable of meeting future needs (Denges-Morges3rd track, Morges-Perroy tunnel, etc.).
This new order centre will enable :
- accommodate future rail infrastructure (Denges-Morges3rd track, Morges-Perroy tunnel, etc.) without difficulty
- 2-minute train spacing
- increasing train capacity within the perimeter (5km).
This is the 2nd stage in the modernisation of the rail facilities at Morges, following the entry into service of platform 1 (December 2023), and prior to the creation of a3rd Morges-Denges track and the modernisation of the station platforms and their accesses (excluding platform 1).
